S&H2 is looking good. I look forward to playing it, although I hope that elephants can be added by patch in the future! In the old S&H, the little men
in battles were hard to see, and they all looked pretty much alike from more than a few feet away, but the new ones look great. Also, the castle walls look
good, and it is good to know that there will be more varied terrain. It was always a little strange playing battles in S&H where a battle in Egypt looked a
lot like what could be found in Gaul.

Sorry, the world map indeed is the old one. We tried to draw a new one but it does't look good so we decide to use the old one with some layer of retouch
and blending. However, the size and scale is different due to the new size of the grids for the buildings around a city. The path map and terrains are mostly
the same but we reduce the number of cities to simplify the game.

BTW, we just put the sales sheets up. We haven't officially announced the S&H2 site, but I guess it's doesn't matter for our old friends here.

Just want to say that i've been dreaming about conquering the world with the gauls!
Keep up producing those great games.... After much thinking, i think that a napoleonic game would be very nice with your engine...but some armies should be a lot large than now (same for the battlefield). Cheers |

I cannot agree about the Napoleonic game. For one thing, while the latest Total War does not deal with it specifically, it will no doubt have a module
simulating those wars sometime in the future, and competiting against that is something that Magitech could not do, no matter how good their gameplay is. For
another, the naval aspect of the Napoleonic period could only be covered abstractly, and given its importance, that is not an ideal situation.
If I could choose, I would pick the world during the Victorian period, or a game about the Crusades. I daresay that the US Civil War would be a good seller, but it would not be my first choice. Note that in all of these cases, the naval aspect is not as critical as in the Napoleonic period. |

I'd love to see this engine in any era of linear warfare, really, mainly because I'm surprised that even the highest budget games like Empire: Total
War haven't taken AI lessons from magitech and split up their units into regiments with a divisional AI. The Take Command series are the only ones with a
similar idea, but those battles are more wargame than RTS.
